A new life ch.9

It was almost Halloween and Jenifer was about 2 months old, it was 5:30 a.m when the phone rang, Jack and Sally both jumped, Jack rolled over and picked up the phone.

"hello...." Jack yawned
"JACK! WHERE ARE YOU, HALLOWEEN IS IN 2 DAYS!!! WE HAVE SO MUCH WE HAVE TO DO!!"
"fine i'll meet you at town hall once i wake up..."

Jack hung up the phone, and Sally had to go take care of Jenny, since the phone woke her up. Not even 3 seconds later the phone rang again. Jack answered it.

"what??"
"JACK WE DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOU TO WAKE UP, YOU HAVE TO GET DOWN HERE NO-"

Jack hung up the phone before the mayor could finish. Then, of course, the phone rang again, and Jenny started crying harder.

"YOU DO REMEMBER I HAVE A BABY TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!! I'M GETTING UP RIGHT NOW! SO STOP CALLING!!!"

Jack slammed the phone on the nightstand. Sally walked in with Jenny.

"who kept calling?"
"guess"
"the mayor?"
"yup"
"well i'm going to go put Jenny back to bed"
"okay"

Jack got ready for work, Sally came in a little bit later and laid on the bed.

"did you have trouble putting her to bed?"
"no, she fell back asleep when i was walking her back into her room"
"well i have to leave now"
"alright"

Jack walked around the bed and kissed Sally and left. Sally woke up around 9:00 a.m. She got up and walked into Jenny's room, she was in her crib rolling around on the blanket. Sally picked her up.

"good morning, Jenny"

Jenny didn't make many sounds, she was as quiet as a mouse, sometimes. Actually she hated loud noises, so when ever the phone rang or the door bell rang, she would cry. Sally grabbed her blanket and laid on the floor, She put Jenny on it and walked downstairs to get her a bottle. When she got back Jenny was right where she put her. Sally played with Jenny for a bit until she started to cry, Sally changed her and dressed her. After a few more hours Jack got home from work around 3:00 p.m, Jenny was on the floor in front of the couch playing with a cup, and Sally was on the couch watching Jenny.

"how was work honey?"
"long"
"what did the mayor have you do?"
"oh, he had me sorting all the Halloween decorations, and making me run all over town"
"well your home now"
"yeah"

Jack sat on the floor next to Jenny and picked her up, he started tickling her, she started laughing. Jack kissed Jenny's forehead and set her back down on the floor, then he got up and sat next to Sally on the couch.
